V by Very Littlewood Ireland’s fashion shows

V by Very were so convincing in their creation of a warm sunny atmosphere at their Spring Summer 2018 collection fashion show that when I emerged into a cold, dark, rainy Temple Bar night I was shocked to find that it was still only March!I love Littlewood Ireland’s fashion shows. Aside from the warm and welcoming atmosphere that they always create, the affordable fashion which caters for all shapes, sizes and ages has lots of choices to appeal to everyone.Whether your personal palette demands pastels or boldness, Littlewoods Ireland’s V by Very has just the right dress for you. Flowing florals are big again this year, offering subtle pastels in pretty femininestyles, with bolder colours featuring prominently for evening dresses.

Styles varied from a sophisticated “New Hamptons” classic chic to a more casual 1970s inspired frills, ruffles, lace panelling, and fun fringes paired with denim and suede jackets to complete the look. The “Havana” collection offers a high summer fashion look, with a strong and vivid colour palette which includes bold pinks, greens and yellows.

My personal favourites from their SS18 are the smart suits (which range in price from an amazingly affordable €100) which can be paired with a traditional structured shirt for a sharp office look, a softer ruffle shirt (from €45) for a more feminine look, or a simple t-shirt (€20) or a pretty cami top (€38) for the warm summer which we know we deserve this year!

The Littlewoods Ireland experience was completed by their generous offerings of sumptuous snacks, a doughnut stand, and of course lots of bubbly! We all love buffets and bars and what made this particular fashion show even more special was that it offered a denim bar and a handbag buffet! So in addition to having my make-up done by the wonderful Michelle of Benefit and the gift of their yet-to- be launched Gold Rush blush, I was also offered a choice of handbags, a customised leather keyring, and I am eagerly awaiting my new jeans which are due to arrive in the post any day now.
